Infectious and cytostatic waste (AVV-AS 180103*/180108*) must be packaged in receptacles for gathering and disposal whose design has been approved. The transportation of this waste must be carried out in accordance with the provisions of the “Hazardous Goods Ordinance – Road” (GGVS).

Body parts and organic waste no longer have to be transported in accordance with the “Hazardous Goods Ordinance – Road” (GGVS). BAM-approved receptacles are nevertheless used because the disposal facilities generally only accept receptacles whose design has been approved.

In various parts of the health system there is waste that contains a high fluid component. From an infection prevention standpoint, no special demands have to be made on the disposal of this kind of waste (AVV-AS 180104).
Gathering and transportation, however, are often problematic because sacks tear open and fluids escape. The hygienic gathering and safe transportation of such waste can be achieved only with suitable receptacles.

Waste such as cannulas, scalpels, and objects with a similar risk of stab wounds and cutting damage must be gathered and transported in stab-resistant and shatterproof containers. Joint disposal with waste in accordance with AS 180104 is possible provided that the principles of safety at work are complied with.

A useful supplement to the receptacle programme is our underframe, which can accommodate a variety of disposable containers.

The receptacle can be opened and closed by using the foot pedal. This means that the user’s hands are kept free and the user does not come into contact with the receptacle or its contents during filling.

As a special request, our underframes can also be equipped with a lid cushioning system. A lower design is also possible.

The underframes are available for the following receptacle types:

• INFA-Box 30 l, 50 l and 60 l
• INFA-Box 12 l and 18 l (on request)
